The Trouser Press was invented by a German called BROELLOS GUENTHER.
Initial patent was applied for in the UK on the 28th. of November 1980 and the application was published on the 10th. of June 1981.
There are now many variations of the original design and are manufactured by various companies like Morphy Richards, Domotec, Singer, Carmen with Corby probably being the most recognised name of all.
